Omolara Adelusi holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from the University of Benin.

In the early days of her career, she worked with Tritech Nigeria Limited and SaapTech Limited between 1998 and 2004, both Information Technology firms.

She quit paid employment in 2004 to establish Nektar Creations, an event costuming and garment production company which was in operation for 8 years.

Lara co-founded Sheba Centre with her husband, Olufemi Adelusi in February 2011, an event venue situated in the heart of Ikeja. 

She is a Certified Event planner from the prestigious- The Wedding Planner School, United Kingdom and also an alumnus of the Venue Management School, Oglebay, West Virginia, USA. She is a registered member of International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM).

Lara is the Acting President Association of Venue Owners Lagos Nigeria (AVOLN).

She is the Executive Director of Nehemiah Hope Initiative, an NGO she founded in 2016 which delivers relief materials, rehabilitation services, developmental projects and Youth empowerment to conflict ridden communities in northern Nigeria. Nehemiah Hope Initiative has worked with over 2000 internally displaced people (IDPs) since inception. 

She also established JFK Events Company, an Event Rental company in December 2018 while a new addition to her business portfolio is the JFK Event Centre, Alausa,( formerly Memorable Gathering Hall) established in 2020.
